The Parsons/ AMT / Fine Arts office is looking for a student to assist the BFA and MFA Fine Arts Directors and assist in general office support, program organization and planning, and student communications.

The student should be available for three semesters, starting this Fall 2015 semester, and preferably have a Federal Work-Study award.

Job requirements include a capacity to work independently and be self driven with strong organizational, administrative and social media experience. Must have computer skills in Word Processing, Excel, Powerpoint and basic design skills in Indesign and Photoshop.

Applicants should be able to efficiently organize and translate tasks given to him/her by the director. They should also enjoy engaging with the diverse Fine Arts student population during front desk duties and be able to direct students toward the appropriate university service. Other tasks include but are not limited to helping to support and organize Fine Arts events and meetings; assisting with the review scheduling, and distribution of group e-mails via Mail Chimp. We are looking for students who are interested and excited to work within our creative community.

Experience blogging via Word Press is a strong plus!  Photo and video skills would also be desirable, though please note, this is mainly a clerical position.

Please send your fall semester availability, whether or not you have a Federal Work Study award or not, a paragraph about why you think you’d be right for this position, and resume to Leslie Henkel at henkell@newschool.edu
