Opportunity1

Seeking a studio intern to assist with the development of two upcoming solo exhibitions that will combine video, photography and performance. The internship will involve working both independently and collaboratively on tasks including: editing video, retouching images, coordinating and assisting at photo shoots, researching technical details, and extensive management of exhibition logistics. Together these tasks will offer perspective on the production of a large-scale exhibition from inception to installation. This role will involve about 10 hours of work weekly, primarily in the evenings, at my studio in the Lower East Side, in exchange for academic credit. It will require outstanding organizational and communication skills, strong Final Cut Pro experience, and familiarity with Photoshop. Proficiency with After Effects, SketchUp are both pluses as is freehand drawing ability.

About me:

I make video, photographic and performance works that document the spaces and cadences of the everyday and overlooked. I’ve been exhibiting this work since 1992 at venues including The Museum of Modern Art; The New Museum of Contemporary Art; The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum; The Kitchen; and the Museum of the City of New York. My work has been supported by fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the New York State Council on the Arts, the Experimental Television Center, Yaddo, and the MacDowell Colony, among others.
