Kyle Li hiring two paid research assistants to work on a National Science Foundation (NSF) REESE sub-grant with me. This is a collaboration
between New York Hall of Science(NYSCI), Concorde Consortium, and Parsons AMT. The goal of this sub-grant is to reinvent the narrative component of a long running educational fantasy game on genetic engineering. The job includes story writing, quest design, interaction design, graphical game interface design, and content population. We will be creating high-level design document and mock-ups for on-staff game developers to implement into the real game. I am looking for students who are:
1. interested in graphic design especially producing graphical game interfaces.
OR
2. interested in fiction(fantasy) writing.
OR
3. BOTH!!
How to apply?
If you are interested:
1. please send me your online portfolio or work samples (interface related will be awesome).
2. please re-write the following paragraph and send it back to me alone with other writing samples.
3. please do both
“Joe and Stephen come from a nondescript village in an isolated and rural kingdom. They are singled out and join the Drake Breeders’ Guild, a generally inconsequential guild involved only marginally in research. The guild mostly focuses on breeding drakes as pets, and values niche internal goals such as breeding specific esoteric trait combinations (including the quest to breed the mythical gold drake) for their own amusement and for minor income from sales of domesticated drakes.”
