Designers everywhere are noticing that more and more designers are working in-house for companies large and small. When do we start, then, to ask what the role of the designer should be? How do design ideas live there? The complexity, ethos, and pace of the museum makes it an ideal place to ask these questions and test boundaries. Please join Mike Abbink from the Museum of Modern Art, Hilary Greenbaum from the Whitney Museum of American Art, Peter Kaplan of the Museum of Arts and Design, Susan Sellers from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Lorraine Wild from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for a lively conversation about design, power, culture, ideas, freedom, and the city moderated by Juliette Cezzar.
