The Adobe “Visual Computing Lab” has an intern opening in San Jose headquarters for a graphics artist student familiar with Illustrator or Flash authoring application. You will participate in design of new tools and effects using our in house developed framework for procedural modeling. You will help a researcher working on the project to develop scripts that define new procedural models and you will create art or animations using those new tools. The knowledge of javascript programming is not a requirement, but it is a big plus. We are interested in creative ideas for effects that will fit within the scope of the framework.

Flash authoring CS4 contains the procedural modeling framework. There are four new tools implemented using the framework. As you can see below, the existing tools are very simple yet there is an immense potential for creating interesting new tools that would make it easy to create complex art and animations. Be part of that process!

To apply, please send your CV and sample portfolio to Radomir Mech (rmech@adobe.com). The position is available for March-May or April-June 2009.
