REALFAKE
What is Real? What is Fake? What classifies something as authentic in post modernity? RealFake is a show that includes artists who address the “aura”, confront reproduction and representation, and deal with the implications of performance rooted in a simulated experience. The show will include junior and seniors working across all mediums, painting, drawing, sculpture, performance and video.

OPENING: Monday October 18th, 6-9pm
DURATION: 10/18-10/30

GROUPSHOW FOR OPEN STUDIOS
OPENING:
Thursday November 11th, 6-9pm / as part of open Studio events.

PRIVATE BODY/PUBLIC BODY
Dalal Ani, Alicia DeBrincat, Yali Lewis, Rebecca Volinsky. Private Body/Public Body will explore both presence and absence of the human form in interior and exterior spaces. We will investigate the body as flesh, the body as object, the body as corpus of knowledge and the body as vessel. We will enter spaces that have been vacated and explore the vestigial presence of the absent body. The work will address physical and social constraints applied to the body, disassembling and reassembling its parts into new forms.

OPENING: Wednesday November 17th, 6-9pm
DURATION: 11/17-12/04

“SHIP OF THE BODY, SHIP OF THE SOUL, VOYAGING, VOYAGING, VOYAGING.”
After an image of a ship united us, we, Cupid Ojala, Leah Raintree and Jade Yumang propose to build a hybrid ship of sorts. On the cusp of traversing a two year MFA, we see this as a playfully serious vehicle to build upon shared concerns. Referencing Donna Haraway’s mythical cyborg, we see the construction and imagined voyage of our ship as a fluid mapping of identity, unbound by the construction of gender and its history.

OPENING: Monday December 6th, 6-9pm
DURATION: 12/06-12/18
