Call for Distinguished Teaching Award Nominations

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to nominate outstanding teachers for a Distinguished Teaching Award and for the recently established Award for Outstanding Achievements in Diversity and Social Justice Teaching.

The Distinguished Teaching Award recognizes faculty across the university for excellence in teaching. Last year, to reflect The New School’s commitment to social justice, we added an Award for Outstanding Achievements in Diversity and Social Justice Teaching. This award recognizes faculty members who actively promote social justice through their teaching.

I encourage you to consider faculty members you think are worthy of these awards and to take a few minutes to tell us what you know about them. The call for nominations will be open until December 5, 2014. To make a nomination, or for more information, go to www.newschool.edu/leadership/provost/teaching-awards/.
