UNICEF NYCHQ seeks Junior Web Developer

DESCRIPTION
UNICEF NYHQ – Division of Communication is in need of a consultant to provide Web Development Support services for interactive projects and red dot templates.

Responsibilities:
Template maintenance within our Web Content Management System (which may include but is not limited to HTML, Javascript, CSS work) to modify existing templates in order to add new functionalities based on approved designs assigned by the supervisor. This will conform to the standards of the UNICEF Coding Guidelines document (attached.)
Testing, debugging, QA on all development projects, as required.
Rental of a managed server for purposes of staging and evaluation of IBIS-produced applications and web-based media, before it is integrated into existing UNICEF servers.
The consultant will work in the NYHQ office where a PC with necessary software, internet connection, printer, paper, telephone will be provided for undertaking this assignment. At times, it may be necessary for the consultant to work from home or elsewhere, therefore it is required that he have his own personal PC, Internet connection and personal licensed software for this purpose.
May be asked to work on weekends

Qualifications or specialized knowledge/ experience required (for employees):
Self-motivated and results oriented.
Strong HTML and CSS skills
JavaScript, classic ASP, PHP, SQL, and other scripting languages a plus
Exposure to OpenText Web Content Management Server (formerly RedDot) a plus
Experience with and/or desire to work in a non-profit organization preferred
Possess strong organizational and detail oriented skills
