Are you a dork?
Interested in becoming more involved with Parsons within the DT department?
The dorkShop committee is looking for Parsons AMT students (MFA, BFA, DT, CD, etc.) to help keep the dorkShop series alive. dorkShops are skill-sharing events of the nerd variety, and are free and open to the public. We all have unique talents and skill sets that we’d like to share with others. Like the D+T department, dorkShops cover a variety of topics, from time-based media to open source-software, visual design and physical computing, and have traditionally been run by D+T students.
For more information, check out www.dorkshop.org or our facebook page at www.facebook.com/dorkshop.
Come to our information session this Wednesday, February 16th at 6pm in the DT Lab, 2 W. 13th, 10th floor (paired with the 2011 Thesis Symposium meeting), to learn more about how you can help bring together Parsons students with local designers in engaging skill-sharing sessions. We’ve built a great network of Parsons AMT students as well as the greater New School population plus employees from major New York design firms, and we need your help to continue to show NYC how awesome D+T students and Parsons really are!
