The Junior UX Designer role at ECMC is hands on experience designing and building prototypes to solve real world problems. The opportunity calls for a fast learner, strong work ethic and an eye for details. You will support a diverse group of projects and help drive direction. You will help on production with all our products and will learn a strong sense of system cohesion. The role reports directly to the Lead UX Designer, giving you room for growth and mentorship. We are growing our design team, meaning you will have creative support in office while working closely with your implementation team. Our work has substantial impact on unemployment, student loans and making schools affordable and attainable for all students.
ECMC Innovation Labs is a small group within the student loan guarantor ECMC. We are working to fundamentally change the experience around student loans and higher Ed. We are driving forward ECMC’s mission to help students succeed by improving the field from the inside out. Some of our current exciting projects include:
– College Abacus – a kayak.com for financial aid aimed at high school students and their parents. Our goal is to help students make smart, informed decisions before they even apply to school.
– LoanKit – a friendly walkthrough guide for students struggling with their loans to help them figure out the next step
– Borrower Access – an online portal for ECMC borrowers to understand their loan situation and take action online through self help
– Zenith Schools – ECMC recently purchased 53 for-profit colleges with the goal of reimagining what career college can look like. Our lab will have a hand in determining and driving this vision.
