The energy surrounding all the various shows happening alongside the famed international art expo, Art Basel Miami, was incredible! It sure was nice to get out of the NYC cold for the weekend and see some great artists–including Parsons’ own faculty and alumni.
Standouts from our faculty included BFA Fine Arts’ Saya Woolfalk’s work at SCOPE (called out as a must-see by the Huffington Post) and BFA Fine Arts Director Anthony Aziz and faculty Sammy Cucher’s video installation at Wynwood gallery, The Screening Room (called out as a must-see by the Miami Herald). Photo Faculty Graham Macindoe showed at the Miami Project Art Fair, while Photo faculty Arthur Ou showed at NADA Miami. Parsons Fine Arts alumni also represented at Aqua Art Fair (Peter Lapsley and Langdon Graves), Select Fair (Vanessa Turi), and Art Untitled (Brolab’s Adam Brent and Tvvinhaus’ Tara Long–who helped do the projections and constructions for the TM Sister’s opening night performance for Art Untitled.)
