Registration is now open for 2-week residential study at the 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe!
Registration is now open for a unique non-performing opportunity for students of theatre and media to attend the 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland.
Classroom @ The Fringe is a new 2 week residential enrichment study course, held in conjunction with the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Queen Margaret University in August 2014.
The programme was developed in response to theatre faculty requesting an easy way for their students to come and revel in the creative energy that is the Fringe, in a non performing capacity and on an individual basis. The Fringe is so vast, attending independently can be quite a daunting prospect for many students (and faculty too). We believe Classroom @ The Fringe is the answer. It is open to all students and faculty of theatre, film and media arts. Students of English and other related subjects are also welcome. The program offers security, expert guidance and some structure to the time in Scotland, combined with plenty of opportunities to explore the 24/7 theatre scene by independently or in small groups.
What is Classroom @ The Fringe? In a nutshell it’s a 2 week residential course in Edinburgh during the Fringe in August 2014. We include tickets to 10 productions, a program of stimulating workshops and group discussions, cultural and sightseeing activities and the opportunity to enjoy one of the world’s finest capital cities as it hosts the greatest arts festival in the world. The entire 2 weeks is hosted by top US, Canadian and Scottish theatre faculty.
The daily workshops are held in the theatre facilities on the tranquil campus of Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. There will also be lots of time to attend additional Fringe productions and enjoy the great camaraderie of other students who have travelled to Edinburgh for the very same purpose.
