Pure+Applied is offering a Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 paid internship for a design student interested in learning exhibition and book design as well as branding.

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented student who will work in our office in New York City. The intern will be working closely with one of Pure+Applied’s partners as well as a staff designer as your mentor,

The intern will:
– Contribute to the research, exploration, conceptual and visual development, and execution of design directions.
– Work with the creative team to learn the fundamentals of design production — creating specifications, marking up files, releasing jobs to printers and fabricators
– Help prepare comps, mood boards and client presentations

Requirements:
– Currently a junior or senior undergraduate student.
– Have a strong passion for typography, communication, and history.
– Obsessive with details and about getting things done correctly
– Work well in a very team-oriented office
– Adept at Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator.
– Working knowledge of Illustrator

Additional Information:
– Internship hours are flexible and on-site.
– Paid internship with hourly rate.
– Starts September 2013.
