NRM Gallery is proud to present Nature #w/e, a survey of selected works from the Parsons BFA Fine Arts Class of 2014. The works illustrate the heterogeneous modes of cultural production seen in the emergent practices of our peers. Organized using a loose curatorial continuum from the ecological to the technological, this survey attempts to problematize the now-antiquated divide between nature and culture, and provide a thematic context for the fluid relationships we continue to foster with our divergent subject matter. At this intersection of the organic and the mechanical we hope the viewer finds as many definitions of the word “culture” as there are works in the show.
