Parsons Alumnus Logan T. Sibrel to Perform in “A Deep Booming Laugh” at the Knockdown Center

Parsons almunus Logan T. Sibrel will perform in an upcoming musical extravaganza at the Knockdown Center. A DEEP BOOMING LAUGH is an evening of atmospheric music by Brooklyn-based bands B0DYH1GH, Boiled Wool, and Sister Pact. Largely inspired by Riot Grrrl culture, the three acts revel in the Sad Girl aesthetic, producing pensive, intensifying music that features gorgeous sound reverberations that resonate within the acoustics of the Knockdown Center.

Daniel Portland and Max Steele’s B0DYH1GH has transitioned from a psychedelic jazz-metal band, through a pop dynamic, into a more drone-y, ambient format. Fashion designer Cynthia Chang’s band Boiled Wool is a grunge/indie band that features big, slow, somber pop songs that are dramatized by the manic visuals of her costumes. The post-shoegaze band Sister Pact’s includes references from Freudian psychology to Gen-X idealization in their lush, forceful songs.

A DEEP BOOMING LAUGH is an opportunity to collectively explore what diligent and thoughtful music can mean in the present.
