BFA Student, Lauren Phillips, Named a 2019 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Honorable Mention

This year 325 students were nominated from over 139 colleges and universities, world-wide. The jury, which included Ebitenyefa Baralaye, a ceramicist, sculptor, and designer, Detroit, MI; Melanie VanHouten, founder and Artistic Director of Josephine Sculpture Park, Frankfort, KY; and Alison Wong, first-generation Chinese American artist, curator, and educator, Detroit, MI, reviewed more than 817 images of student art work to make their selections for this prestigious award.

 

Lauren Phillips has been named a 2019 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Honorable Mention.

Lauren will be recognized in the 2019 September/October issue of Sculpture magazine, as well as on the www.sculpture.org website.
