ARTEXPRESS is a 3 part documentary that tracks the careers and features the work of 4 Australian Artists whose work was selected for ARTEXPRESS at the start of their careers.

The works chosen for ARTEXPRESS each year are selected from nine and a half thousand Higher School Certificate submissions (University entrance examination), with the NSW Department of Education and Communities selecting the shortlist of 500 works from ceramics, drawings, paintings, photography, sculptures and videos.

Our very own Simone Douglas is one of the four artists featured. For her segment (she has cameo’s in Part 1 and 2 and is featured in part 3). She was filmed on location in NYC at Parsons and also in Sydney. In the segments Douglas talks about her dual career as an artist and as a teacher, the development of her ideas, her exhibitions and the importance of her work at Parsons. Some of Parsons MFA Fine Arts students were also included in the filming.

Congratulations to Simone!
