EFI_changingtheface_sm (1)En Foco, is a non- profit photography organization that supports contemporary photographers of diverse cultures, primarily U.S. residents of Latino, African, and Asian heritage, and Native People of the Americas and the Pacific. They are seeking interns for summer 2015. Please see positions below!

Exhibitions Intern

A non-profit photography organization that supports fine art and documentary photographers of diverse cultures seeks a new exhibitions intern to assist the Program Director with the promotion of current programming. Responsibilities include liaising with photographers, maintaining files on existing exhibition venues; researching potential venues; updating mailing list; assist with coordination of exhibitions, workshops and special events. Working knowledge of the photographic field. Proficiency in MS Office, working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, strong people and writing skills; ability to multitask and take initiative. Genuine passion for photography.

Communications Intern

A non-profit photography organization that supports fine art and documentary photographers of diverse cultures seeks a new communications intern to contribute in various capacities to enhance En Foco’s online presence, to include posting updates about events and exhibitions, ensuring the cross promotion of Nueva Luz (our magazine), prints, events and exhibitions. Production of original content for En Foco’s blog, writing promotional copy, coordinating e-blasts; researching contacts and outlets for publicity outreach; maintenance of Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Strong writing, creativity, attention to detail and positive self-starter with an awareness of current trends in photography. Proficiency in Word, Excel, working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and social media sites. A genuine passion for photography.

Marketing Intern

A non-profit photography organization that supports fine art and documentary photographers of diverse cultures seeks a new marketing intern to assist the Editor and Program Director with our in-house magazine in all facets of circulation, marketing and advertising. Responsibilities include: subscription customer service, preparing media kits; maintaining ad prospect databases and mailing lists; interfacing with printing house; researching new business sources. The role will also assist in promotion of all special events. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; some experience with Adobe Photoshop, database programs and e-mail marketing software (not mandatory) excellent communication skills. A genuine passion for photography.
