City Atlas Social Media Intern (PAID)

City Atlas is an innovative digital platform that empowers the public with a vision of our sustainable future and the steps we can take to make it a reality. It is a project of the CUNY Institute for Sustainable Cities and Artist As Citizen. To view it in Beta Testing, visit: http://beta.thecityatlas.org/
We are currently looking for a dependable, professional, passionate, hard-working, self- motivated, sustainability-obsessed intern with strong communication skills. The intern will be required to be extremely experienced with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, WordPress and all other social media forums. Extent of knowledge about sustainability issues, urban issues, and New York City will also be considered.

Responsibilities:
We are looking for a blogging/ social media intern to join our team and help build the City Atlas audience. While not required to work daily, the intern will be expected to schedule daily updates to the City Atlas blog, Twitter and Facebook. Additional social media tasks may be assigned.

Please send one sample blog post, one sample Facebook post and one sample Twitter post that would engage the City Atlas audience to Carina Molnar at cmolnar@hunter.cuny.edu . In addition, please provide the url to all social media plat- forms that you use on a daily basis.

Commitment:
15 hours per week. At least one work day per week at the CISC office (or one day per week dedicated tele-working), with the rest of the hours flexible.

Compensation:
$1000 stipend for work between September 2011 to December 2011
