AD ART SHOW is the newest groundbreaking art venture by MvVO ART—and first art show to exhibit a new generation of Artists from Advertising who create original works in painting, sculpture, photography, works on paper, mixed-media & video art—like Warhol, Magritte, Rockwell, O’Keeffe, Rosenquist, Haring & so many more artists with a history in Commercial Art.

Eric Lau  loves the spontaneity of street photography that contrasts his advertising career. He incorporates his daily life such as the subway ride and Bushwick neighborhood as his photography studio. He takes pride in capturing ordinary people as is. He believes “The best camera is the camera you have with you” Since 2014, he switched to his phone camera, abandoning his professional gears and Leicas. The change allows him to get close to his subjects for candid images. His practice challenged established conventions about professional gear and photography, resulting in intimate images with great intensity that bring his audience up-close to NYC’s daily life.

His photographs has garnered 47K followers on Instagram; featured in the NY Times, TimeOut New York and PSFK, held numerous sharing about his anti-gear approach for photography, and been shown in 15 exhibitions in NYC, HK and Taipei.
