Communication Design Faculty, Richard Salcer has been teaching courses in Package Design and Promotion at Parsons since 1988. He is a member of the University Faculty Senate, serving as Chairman of the Part-Time Faculty Committee. Richard is a graduate of The Cooper Union and has extensive experience in the art direction and design of strategic branding, packaging, environmental graphics, signage, corporate design, sales promotion, advertising, and display.

As principal at Salcer Design, he works as a brand strategy and package design consultant with several leading firms in New York.

Among his own clients are the Gem Stone King Corporation, a leading international jeweler, for whom he is developing a new brand identity system for print and web and several large ranges of upscale brand identities, packaging, and promotional graphics.

Richard has organized seminars and lectures for the AIGA and the Art Directors Club and is an active member of the Type Directors Club and AIGA’s Brand Central Group
